How to Download TikTok Videos on iPhone & iPad

August 13, 20264 min read

Downloading media files on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) used to require third-party file managers. However, with the introduction of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, Apple introduced a native Downloads Manager in Safari. This makes saving TikTok videos directly to your camera roll fast and straightforward.

Copying the TikTok URL on iOS

Open the TikTok app on your iPhone. Locate the video you wish to save. Tap the "Share" icon (the arrow) on the right side of the screen, and then scroll and tap "Copy Link".

Using Safari to Download

Open the Safari browser and head to the NovaTik downloader. Paste the link into the URL input field and tap Download. When the formats load, select your format (SD, HD, or MP3).

Open the TikTok Video Downloader

A prompt will appear in Safari asking: "Do you want to download this file?". Tap "Download". You will see a small download progress icon appear in the browser address bar.

Saving the Video to your Photo Library

Once the download completes, tap the download icon in Safari, select the video, and tap the Share button at the bottom left. Select "Save Video" to transfer the video file directly to your iOS Camera Roll.
